We award a limited number of scholarships every Spring for college students from Arizona entering their Senior year of study who intend to work in National Security.
Here are the requirements:
- Be an Arizona resident,
- Be a citizen of the United States either by birth or naturalization,
- Be enrolled in an accredited university anywhere in the U.S.,
- Have completed your 3rd year of study,
- Show the intent to enter a career path related to National Security,
- Have at a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale,
- Have excellent analytical skills, personal accomplishments and awards, and fluency in a language other than English, and
- Have a personal record such that you could qualify for a Top-Secret Clearance.
National Security includes the U.S. military services, federal government agencies, and state agencies with a focus on National Security.
Examples of degree programs or majors we will consider include:
- Computer Science and Computer Engineering
- Cyber Operations, Intelligence, and Warfare Studies
- Economics
- Engineering
- Foreign Service Studies
- Information Science and Technology
- Information Systems and Data Analytics
- International and Foreign Affairs
- Linguistics and Languages
- Mathematics
- National Security
Considerations for the scholarships include military or previous government service, and linguistic or other skills that would be of importance to security agencies. The field is broad, so be sure to mention other experiences in which you have excelled and any awards or recognition you have received.
A student loan or other scholarships does NOT preclude you from consideration for this scholarship.
